Charcoal drawings translated into rich, seemingly monochromatic, mosaic imagery.  The land / sea based words of Voe, Wick and Thule became titles for these works.

The repetitive cellular structure of fair isle knitting, coupled with the bright seafaring colours of boats and shipyards, inspired a continuing series of patterned mosaic artworks.
