Joanna formed a design team with the artists Noah Rose, Suzi Winstanley and Harriet Harris to work on the first phase of Creative Partnerships - Building Schools for the Future programme in Manchester.  Pupils were encouraged to articulate their ideas about, and vision for, their school and to develop these into viable designs for incorporation into the new school environment.  The concept for the entrance and courtyard façades were co-designed with pupils and thereafter Joanna developed the designs in collaboration with Aedas architects.
