A series of artworks created using water permeable resin-bound aggregate and etched flags were incorporated into the renovated tree planters and paving scheme.  The project formed an integral part of the Highfield Regeneration Programme involving Parks and Highways departments. 

Designs were based on the unusual variety of trees in the nearby 19th century park.  Local primary schools embraced the project, using it as a focus for many areas of curricular study, art, science, literature, history and social studies.
