Joanna was approached by LIME to create a plaque for the opening of Withington Community Hospital by Princess Anne.  The design, inspired by local and historic references, was informed through a consultation process with the Active Therapy Team.  The mosaic panel incorporates a tile on which the text was applied though a ceramic transfer process.

The hospital arts programme won runner-up in the prestigious NHS Building Better Healthcare awards for ‘use of art in healthcare facilities' 2007.
